With electric gas spring table’s models, cables must be turned on a 220-230V plug, in order to be able to adjust the height of the massage table. To change the table’s height either with the pedal or the manual command, press the buttons until having reached the wished height. (Pointer upwards : the table is lifting up; pointer downwards : the table is bringing down).
With several models, height adjustment will be done by pushing on peripheral bars located around the base, either on the right, or on the left. Six levers on both sides and two at the end of the table enable to manipulate it no matter where you are situated around the table. This system is consequently high recommended for osteopaths. It is however not recommended to use the gas spring during more than six minutes continuously.
For tables with hydraulic cylinder, press several times on the pedal with your foot in order to send up the table’s height : the table will rise of few centimeters each time you will press on the pedal. To lower the table: lift up the pedal with your foot and the table will slowly go downwards.
Watch out : Before sending up or lowering the table, you must check if neither the patient nor the therapist is in direct contact (hands, feet or any other parts of their body or clothes) with movable pieces of the elevation’s mechanism.
The rise/descent of the sections is regulated by a gas spring. In order to adjust the section, press on the mechanism located behind the section in the leatherette’s direction. The section will rise gradually. If you want the section to stop once having reached the right angle, then release the mechanism. In order to lower the section, press and hold on the mechanism with one hand at the same time of pushing on the section with the other hand until reaching the right position.
Use both hands to change the section’s position. With one hand, turn the pommel in order to release the bar and with the other one, find the right position for the support. To fix the wished position, release the pommel.
Rise the section until having reached the wished position and the rack will position by itself. To lower the section, rise it at the maximum first, the rack will consequently unblock itself on its own; you will then be able to lower the section as you please.
Watch out : never adjust the section’s position when the patient is all his weight on it. When adjusting the section, be careful not to have any fingers close to the rack, in order to avoid getting fingers caught.
We propose four different levels of foam firmness :
1) 55lb/yd³ / Soft
2) 88lb/yd³ / Medium
3) 220lb/yd³ / Firm
4) 330lb/yd³ / Extra firm
Portable tables are always designed with the 1) Soft foam (55lb/yd³). In general, electric / hydraulic and stationary tables are also devised with this foam density. However, electric / hydraulic tables for “special use”, that is to say : osteopathy and multi-function tables have a 2) Medium foam (88lb/yd³). Higher is the density, even more firm is the foam. By this way, a 3) Firm or an 4) Extra Firm foam’s firmness will be more suitable for the practical of osteopathy.
The standard headrest enables the patient to perfectly breathe despite of in length movements.
As outlined in its name, the comfort headrest insures an optimum position to the patient, as well on the belly as on the back, thanks to its removable breather hole. However, in length movements will be reduced at their maximum.
